A small opening into a much larger world.
Niriya creates Montessori tools designed for environments where children can explore independently while still feeling secure. The identity needed to hold both ideas at once: the comfort of a safe space and the openness required for curiosity to grow.
The Approach
Montessori environments often work through simple objects that reveal more possibilities the longer a child interacts with them. We wanted the identity to behave in much the same way. Rather than create an overtly childlike symbol, we explored how one simple form within the wordmark could invite multiple interpretations.
The Solve
A letter within the Niriya wordmark becomes a doorway. Look again and it can become a home, an elephant, a place of comfort or an opening waiting to be explored. We used this ambiguity to extend itself into the website to give the identity its playfulness without defining the child’s imagination for them. Because in Montessori, even the simplest form can hold a world of possibility.
